It appears to have something to do with mtext width because if you right click on the gray box at the leader tail or the two double arrows above it, you get an option for "mtext width". If however you simply click on the small gray line at the tail of the leader, it will then engulf the text, put the ruler above, and the pop-up spell options appear. The gray box stays as a thin line at the tail of the leader and, in this one situation, the pop up spell correct options do not appear.
RIGHT CLICK IN MAC TO CORRECT SPELLING ANDROID
I had one android phone several years ago when Apple didnt think. It often doesnt recognize the correct spelling for a given word so i have to copy and paste the word onto a web browser to check if the spelling it correct. but the spell correct on iOS devices is just awful. If I create a new multileader in 2015, the gray box and the ruler do not automatically engulf the text. Im an Apple fan, MacBook pros, iPads and iPhones. If I double click on a multileader that was created in 2013, I get the same gray box around the text and it works fine. All of my mtext (whether it be new in 2015 or previously created in 2013) has that gray box around it with the ruler on top whenever I edit it.The problem it turns out does not happen in the text editor for mtext, it only seems to happen on newly created 2015 multileaders. It does not store any personal data.I seem to have solved this one in case anyone has the same problem. However, in Mail and Safari this is not the case – automatic correction starts working as soon as you enable it within the application.

It’s worth noting that the setting the spelling correction options in some applications may not take effect until the application is restarted.
